We invite you to enjoy our City and a variety of shopping, eateries, and events!

As far as events go, York is renowned for its Annual York Summerfest held the 4th weekend every August, without fail for 39 years! 2023 will see our 40th Anniversary for this event!

Since the mid-1900s York has celebrated the holidays with its Annual Christmas Parade marching down Congress Street.

Stroll down our tree-lined streets amid historic shops and homes. Experience unique and quaint shops, or enjoy an outdoor concert during our Summer Concert Series and grab a bite to eat at any of our locally owned restaurants for a southern home cooked meal or ethnic delight!

York boasts the best of both worlds, a growing City with commercial shopping, businesses and eateries along with that hometown feel. The opportunity to go home to an old-fashioned neighborhood where the neighbors know each other and the children can play is also a reality here. There are historic homes, established residences in older neighborhoods, and new developments all here in our City.

We love sharing our City with visitors and tourists. We hope you will have an enjoyable experience with us. If you have further questions about the City of York that you cannot locate on our website, please feel free to call us at 803-684-2341.
