The City of York has been added to the 2024 South Carolina Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government’s Honor Roll, which was designated February 6, 2024, during Hometown Legislative Action Day. The Honor Roll recognizes annually those municipal councils that can count all sitting members as graduates of the Municipal Association of South Carolina's MEO Institute.
