I handle things like processing and issuing business licenses, making sure businesses are in compliance with state and local regulations, and managing areas such as bond tracking, fleet management, and asset management. A big part of my job is paying attention to details and working closely with both local businesses and other City departments.

I’ve been with the City of York for about three years. I was initially drawn to the City because I grew up right around the corner and there’s something special about being able to give back to the community that helped shape you. I enjoy helping bring structure and clarity to processes that can sometimes feel complicated. Business licensing, compliance with state law, and asset tracking all require consistency, and it’s rewarding to make sure everything is handled correctly and fairly. I also really enjoy meeting and working with the various businesses in the City of York—this job has given me the chance to meet a lot of great people.

What’s a work-related accomplishment you're really proud of?

One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is earning my Accreditation in Business Licensing last June. That process taught me a lot and helped strengthen my understanding of the work I do every day. I’ve also enjoyed being part of efforts to strengthen and standardize our business license process in line with state law, ensuring consistency and fairness for businesses operating in the City. I’m continuing that professional growth and plan to complete my Master’s in Business Licensing by this time next year.
