City of York Weather Alert
Snow and Ice Storm Expected This Weekend
The City of York is closely monitoring the snow and ice storm expected to impact our area this weekend. We encourage all residents and business owners to take precautions and prepare for potentially hazardous conditions, including power outages.
Power Outages and Electrical Safety
If your property loses power due to storm-related damage, you are authorized to have power safely restored as soon as possible.
-
Licensed electrical contractors may reconnect power without waiting for City authorization.
-
A required electrical permit must be applied for within five (5) business days after power is restored.
-
Due to the possibility of widespread storm damage, inspection times may be delayed. City staff will work as quickly as possible to assist everyone.
Our goal is to support the safe and timely restoration of power while protecting residents and property.
