Per SCACT 176 local business licenses expire April 30 of each year. Renewal applications and payment must be processed prior to May 1 or penalties will begin to accrue.
All businesses with a brick-and-and mortar location and any mobile food vendor (pushcart, food truck, food trailer, etc.) must obtain zoning and fire approval prior to obtaining a business license. This process can take a minimum of 8 weeks to complete for brick-and-mortar locations, so please plan accordingly.
